PARADE, 2015
The annual Braunschweig "Schuduvel" Carnival parade was cancelled at the last moment before its scheduled start in February 2015 because of an apparent imminent terrorist threat. This installation and video presented artworks made in response to the gap created by the loss of the carnival in the city of Braunschweig, and an exploration of what such a carnival is constructed of. The video piece illustrates idle carnival wagons being circled and was filmed in the city's carnival storage yards. The work was presented at the HBK Braunschweig in October 2015 as part of the BS Projects group exhibition 'Loose Control'.
